MARICOPA ELDER ABUSE PREVENTION ALLIANCE (MEAPA) COORDINATOR / INFORMATION & ASSISTANCE SPECIALIST: MEAPA is designed to educate professionals and the public about preventing and decreasing elder abuse and late life domestic violence in Maricopa County; as Coordinator, you will staff the committee, serve as liaison with other agencies and programs, coordinate public education campaigns, develop trainings, assist in identifying and preparing grants; as I & A Specialist, you will provide social service information/assistance regarding a wide variety of issues primarily by phone; screen individuals to determine needs and refer to appropriate agencies and/or programs; Spanish/English bilingual preferred; shared on/call responsibilities; minimum local travel; ability to drive and availability of personal vehicle, driver’s license and automobile insurance; ability to lift 25 pounds; Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work or closely related degree required; minimum 2 years direct services experience in human service/social work; good writing and oral communication skills are essential; Apply to Area Agency on Aging, Region One, 1366 E.
