AZ Fall Prevention Coalition Launches New Informative Website!
PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 12, 2010) – The Arizona Fall Prevention Coalition is proud to announce the launch of their new website www.azstopfalls.org . The website has information on preventing falls for you and your loved ones! The website also features local resources on Home Modification, Physical Activity Classes, Medication Reviews and much more! You can enter your zip code to find resources close to home, download our brochure to share with others, read facts and statistics about falls, learn vital ways to reduce your risk of falling and search for local events related to fall prevention. And if you’re visiting our site and you’re not an older person, this information is valuable regardless of age or disability. What you do today… at any age…with nutrition, activity, medication and environment affects safety and prevents falls.
The AZ Fall Prevention Coalition is funded by Virgina G. Piper Charitable Trust grant and facilitated by the Area Agency on Aging, Region One. The coalition is composed of local professionals dedicated to reducing the risk of falls by older Arizonans through education, awareness, and outreach focused on three essentials of fall prevention: medication management, physical activity, and home and environment modification.
