DOVES® CLIENT SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS DOVES® has launched a new volunteer program!  Resident Support Volunteers have been recruited and trained to work one-on-one with residents who are trying to turn their lives around and become self-sufficient. In this goal-based Program, volunteers are asked to keep their residents focused on their goals with positive, encouraging support and accountability.

Volunteers meet certain criteria, complete an 8-hr. Orientation and Training, and make a minimum 6-month commitment to the program. They meet with residents and/or have phone contact with them on a regular basis depending upon the resident's goals.

Additionally, the program provides regular Self-Sufficiency Trainings whereby professional volunteer presenters are used to conduct 2-hr., bi-monthly trainings on a variety of self-help topics that include: Job Readiness, Personal Finance; Health and Wellness; Healthy Relationships; Life Skills; and Self Esteem.
